Nick Tidnam NEAC PPRBAShow: Profile | Artworks

Born in Leicestershire and brought up in London. Studied at Camberwell School of Art in the sixties when I was lucky enough to have Christopher Chamberlain, Dick Lee and Michael Rothenstein as tutors to name just a few. Was elected a member of The Royal Society of British Artists in 2001.

Commentary on Work

I worked for EMI, Rolls Royce, IBM and ICL and have contributed to the Watson-Guptill publication ‘Learn to paint and draw’ published in 2003 and Cassell published the foundation course ‘Oils and Acrylics’ in 2004. My works are in public and private collections in the UK and private collections in the USA, Australia, Germany, Greece, India, and France. I am a member of the London Sketch Club indeed the Camberwell habit of using my sketch book daily is still maintained. I now live in Rochester where I have a studio opening into the garden which together with walking and looking at people and places both here and abroad are very inspirational in my work.
